  1. You need to get a job, I hope you're educated. Whether you are together or not does not really matter now. You are together in the form of your unborn child.

You both took a chance by having s*x. The baby is the consequence. So get ready for a lot of expenses and that nasty word, "RESPONSIBILITY."

  2. i think its great you wanting to be involved in your child's life and help take care of it.  Just be around for your child, and be a friend to the mother.  even though you didn't work as a couple, i think you should try to be friends for the child's sake.

  3. You don't have to be "with" her to be in your child's life. I applaude you for you wanting to be there for them both.  You can be there for her as the father of her child and be a father to your baby.  Being together is not necessary.  Good luck!

  4. If you guys are okay with just being friends then I think things will turn out alright. The baby is lucky that you are willing to stick around and that you want to be in his/her life. If you can still stand to be around her and still care about her then try to be friends, and be there for her through her pregnancy. Who knows..maybe you two will find that special spark you once had for each other. There is a time in every relationship where you fight constantly. It's hard to stick it out but if you can the relationship ends up amazing...I was given that advice by a girl I was hardly friends with and listened to her. I am glad I did because now that me and my boyfriend are through with the constant fighting everything is great.

Again, if you don't want to be with her, then you don't want to be with her. That doesn't mean you guys can't try to work things out on a friendship level and have a very open, honest friendship.

Good luck! You both are very young, I hope you have the support from your parents through all of this.

  5. All you can really do is support her, and go to doctor appointments with her.  Be there at the birth and sign the birth certificate.  You should then go to the child support agency and start paying child support, or you can agree on joint custody if you so choose.  But if you really plan to be a father.  Make sure you have a lawyer take care of things, to make sure no one can back out.

  6. It seems you two are very mature and responsible with accepting w/ what happened!!  I applaud you for accepting the fact she is pregnant and not running away, especially the fact you are an ex. You sound like a very nice guy and I have a feeling you will be a great father by standing w/ your ex in a situation like this.

You can make it work. You can go to court and get the whole custody thing figured out at a last resort, or you two can always decide amongst yourselves who can have what day, etc.

Be there to sign the birth certificate, try and go to as many doctors appointments as you can, and go with her to lamaze classes.

  7. you both need counselling. try siting and talking about where u guys went wrong.  I just hope neither of you are seeing other people.  Its good that you are willing to take care of the baby.  But it would be even better if the baby could grow up with both of you in his/her life.
