Question:

My eye 'clouds up' and I can't see?

I wear contacts but I haven't recently (past 2 months or so)

anyway, sometimes my eye (left or right) will feel sorta soft and weird (it doesn't hurt at all) and a grey fog comes in that one eye (never had both eyes do it at the same time) and I cannot really see.

Sometimes in only in like a corner of my eye. I blink a lot or rub my eye and it usually goes away after a minute or two.

Apparently, it doesn't look any different.

I am only 15 so what the heck is this!?

  1. You have cataracts. The most common symptoms of a cataract are:

    Cloudy or blurry vision.

    Colors seem faded.

Glare. Headlights, lamps, or sunlight may appear too bright. A halo may appear around lights.

Cataract is detected through a comprehensive eye exam that includes:

Visual acuity test. This eye chart test measures how well you see at various distances.

Dilated eye exam. Drops are placed in your eyes to widen, or dilate, the pupils. Your eye care professional uses a special magnifying lens to examine your retina and optic nerve for signs of damage and other eye problems. After the exam, your close-up vision may remain blurred for several hours.

Tonometry. An instrument measures the pressure inside the eye. Numbing drops may be applied to your eye for this test.

Go visit your eye doctor to get the cataract removed. Good luck!! Get well soon!!!!!!!

  2. It's common for most people to experience that if they've stopped wearing contacts for like, a month or two. It should go away eventually. but, if it doesn't then, I'd go confront a doctor right away.

  3. dry eyes......but do not use visine unless it says for contacts.. just go to the drug store and pick up some re wetting drops it will help a whole lot.

  4. It sound like cataracts, but you seem young. I would say visit the doctor and have hi, check you eye.that really dosen;t sound normal. Even after not wearing you contacts. Dont rub you eye try to wash it out, when you rub you are moving it all around they eye, you may evn scratch your eye.

There might be something crazy going on behind the eye. Or the contacts need to be changed to another type

  5. i think your eye just lacks proper moisture. Use visine or clear eyes drops. it may resolve it.
