1st line -.75

2nd line -.75 -----.-.25--------47

Which is my left and right eye. He said I have 20/30 vision.

PS. He said try glasses first to see at night time in areas you are not familiar, or at shows so you can see clear. He said if I dont like glasses, he would then fit me for contacts. But he said either glasses or contacts, i would only require to wear them like 10% of the day. My eyes starting hurtine me like 1 week ago, thats why i went to see the doctor. I have a 50 inch lcd, and sit back 10 feet behind. I can see clearly, but I noticed i'am getting eye strain a little bit. Is this because of the screen brightness, contrast? Or because I need glasses?

  1. horrible

  2. 20/30 means you see at 20 feet what people see at 30.  It's not that bad.  If you notice you are straining to see things it's prob that you need the glasses.  I would adjust the screen brightness though.

  3. they are very weak prescription my sis  eyesight are as bad as yours and she doesnt see a difference when she wears glasses and take em off right after

but i know others with a similar prescription that wear their glasses full time for the sake of clarity but yeah you definatley need them it makes a huge difference esspecially driving a car at night or just walking around on dark cloudy days

  4. Dude, if those are your diopters, you have a very weak prescription.  I'll trade eyeballs with you!

  5. I don't really know about the second line or what you are talking about. But if you were to get contacts and your perscription was -.75 which means you are near sighted (you can't see far) then it isn't bad at all. That was me in like second grade. I am barely 18 and my vision is -6.25 thats pretty bad. I don't know really know what you are talking about. I do know that i see sharper with my contacts, and your eyes shouldn't strain, they should be completely comfortable. Maybe it gives you a headache or something in the beginning because your not use to the vision change?? I don't know, I don't remember... I am guessing the strain is because you need glasses and your eyes are trying to focus so you can read what is on the screen. Sorry I can't help more, good luck! Remember with a perfect prescription, you should be quite pleased and comfortable. And It seems like you would wear glasses all the time if you are near sighted because far sighted is + perscription. But i'm not the doctor.... i do know though with eyes you might need a second opinion. When i was little one guy told me i had a stigmatism and that was totally wrong, so I had to go to another before I found the perscription that worked.

  6. OMG YOUR BLIND!

  7. I don't think your eyes are bad at all he may be just trying to correct them if he is having you where them 10 percent of the day my left eye is a -7.50 and my right a -6.0 so i would say that is bad compared to your -.75

  8. You eyes are bad enough to get a prescription...what does that tell you?  C'mon...get a clue...you were just at your doctor's...why didn't you ask him...he's the freakin professional here!!!

  9. your eyes are not bad at all!

you should probably not wear glasses while on the computer or reading unless your doctor tells you to do so.  If you have an astigmatism you may need to wear them more often

  10. You are slightly nearsighted and have a minor astigmatism in the left.  You would need glasses to drive at night and maybe for television. Not usually a full time eyeglass Rx. However, once you see the clarity they provide you may prefer to wear them after you see the difference.

  11. Your eyes aren't that bad actually, there not perfect, but there not that bad.

The eye strain might mean you watch too much TV. but Brightness, and Contrast will do it too.

  12. Ummm... ask ur freaking eye doctor. lol, nub

  13. not that bad
