  1. The type of lenses you wear (RGP) are ok to wash with water but you also should have other steps to the cleaning process before you put the contact in your eye (using a conditioning agent).  It is also ok for you to use a multipurpose contact lens solution to rinse the lens with insead of water.

NEVER USE WATER FOR SOFT CONTACT LENSES

  2. NO! whatever you do, DONT wash it with water!

use only saline solution- the water might cause your contacts to mess up and it will not be good for your eyes.

    hope this helps!

  3. I agree with Eyegirl.  Hard lenses do not absorb water like soft lenses do, so they do not absorb the nasty things in the water.  Just rinsing with water, though, will not disinfect them.

  4. NOOOOO! ur gonna get an infection!!! there is a certain amoeba that lives in water and if it gets into ur contact and in ur eye ur gon b in trouble. DO NOT DO IT! use solution!!

  5. NO. Do not and I repeat, DO NOT, wash your contacts with water. That kind of water has chlorine in it and can infect your eye very badly! Sounds like to me your doctor has no clue in h**l what he/she is talking about. Just stick with the solution.
