BUT, ILOOK BALD WITHOUT SOMETHING! What do I do?

I had one catarack out and the last one is the middle of this month. I also have the onset of MILD Glaucoma. I'm using prescribed eyedrops, and it ruins the makeup anyway. I was going get an eye-liner 'tat' (tattoo) before the first surgery, but there wasn't time. Is there a waterproof black eyeliner I could use that wouldn't get in my eye at anytime (even when I put in the drops?)??? I also need a perm to my hair and am going out to buy eye 'occluders' to keep any water or anything from getting in my eye! (I know how!)...but is this enough?

Answer fast please...bcz I want to go to the store and get the eye patches and the waterproof liner----IF I SHOULD ????

  1. duh.  You have to take the advice of your doctor.  The consequences are too great.  Obviously you have problems.  What good are great looking eyes if you are blind?

PS  Guys really don't care about make-up.

  2. sometimes eyeliner can get into ur eye if u put it too close on your eyelid, leave a little room between ur make-up and ur eye

  3. Do what you doctor tells you.  Cataract removal is routine, but not always without complications.  And glaucoma is nothing to f**k around with.  If you value your vision, do what you are told by your doctor.

  4. i would rather look bald then to not be able to see.

  5. Sorry hun, but you are going to have to accept the fact that you are just going to have to give up your make-up. It's a better choice than giving up your vision, if bacteria were to enter your cornea via the make-up. Believe me, I have seen this happen in young people who thought it couldn't happen to them. [ I've also seen a few people without one eye due to 'running with a stick' as a child'. Funny, but still...]

As for the perm, buy a tube of a creme called Kolesterol, I don't know where you live, but the salons usually have it already here, or Vaseline if you can't find Kolesterol, and have them put a liberal amount around your hairline and neck, then apply thick cotton roll adhered firmly to the creme or Vaseline around the hairline, then the cap. This should prevent any chemicals from dripping down into your eyes. Always keep plenty of wet hand towels ready for any unexpected drips if they should occur, and always pat, do not wipe, your eyes if chemicals do drip. Try to keep your eyes closed during this entire procedure, as there are many other airborne chemicals in salons already that can permeate your eyes if they are sensitive or post-surgical

    .

I know they always tell you not to wash your hair for three days after a perm, but I know from personal experience that you can wash your hair four hours later with a mild shampoo made for chemicaly-treated hair and your perm will be fine. I would definitely recommend washing your hair ASAP in your case, as the perm will still emit chemicals that can settle on your corneas as long as you can still smell that 'perm smell'.

If, by any chance, a large amount of perm solution or equalizer does drip into your eyes, or they start to burn, rinse your eyes with sink water for five minutes straight.

                                    Good Luck!

As far as the 'waterproof Liner'? No such thing Iv'e ever heard of. A friend once bought a $150.00 tube of so-called waterproof eyeliner from Saks Fifth Avenue for her wedding, in case she cried, and she still had the raccoon eyes.

  6. Most make up companies sell waterproof eyeliner. I've used maybeline and covergirl various self-sharpening pencils. I've never had any run or get into my eyes(I used to wear contacts).

But honestly if your doctor says you should avoid makeup for the health of your eyes, you really should. I'm not sure of all the exact details, but wouldn't you think it's better to go around with no make up on than hurt your eyes? Trust me, I'm an eyeliner addict myself so I feel your pain, but still.
