My left eye is always watery, but thick and sometimes gooey. When i wake up I have eye goo but my eye is not closed shut. I have had them checked and no one knows what is going on. I have perfect vision, and no signs of dry eyes or allergies. I have tried all kinds of drops and sleep masks (for keeping eyes shut when I sleep), I have tried doing sinus cleansing, but nothing makes it 100% better. When it is really gooey I get blurred vision and head aches, from light bouncing off the goo...kind of gross, sorry. Anyways, it is annoying and I have been dealing with it for months!!! Any advice would be great!!! So far the best thing is the sinus cleaning. Most eye drops make the back of my eye, eye socket feel pain.

  1. when i babysat for this little girl she had the same problem and finally her mom took her to the doc. and she had a tear duct problem and had to have them drained but she was like 5 and it didnt even hurt or leave a scar just consult your eye doc.

  2. Seeing a doctor is probably the best thing to do.

  3. Have you seen an eye Dr?  If there is no infection you need to lubricate your eyes before you go to sleep with something like Lacri-lube.  If your ees aren't closing all the way when you sleep they are drying out and causeing the trouble.  Get rid of the inftection then use an ointment at night.

  4. you might have pink eye, consult a doctor immediatly also if your eye is itchy, probably pink eye
