My eye is itchy, red, and irritated and I wear contacts so I took it out and now i am wondering if i am able

put the contact back in or should i just throw it away?

No you need to throw the contact away..just incase you have conjunctivitus and also relax your eyes for a bit, wear glasses instead for a few hours etc. Wearing contact lenses for long amounts of time, damages your eyes and causes infections,itchness and can get really sore. :)

Throw them away.

If it was an infection of any sort you run a great risk of getting it again. It is not worth it.

You should be able to still use the contact as long as it isnt torn or has a hair on it clean it real well and try putting it back  in .. youll know if you should throw it out!! Hope this helps!

Can you tell what is the reason for the irritation? It might just be that some dust has got in your eye, not that the contact lens is faulty. If you can clean it well you could try using it again but wait till your eye feels better before trying again. If your eye is sore it's best to leave out your contacts.
