hi guys,

this has happened before btw

so every once in a while my eyes will get REALLY itchy and swell up.

this time is really bad, i put eye drops in and my one eye is doing fine, but my other one has this white film-y stuff around it. the outside of my eye feels kind of dry.

i think its allergies, because my dog was shedding and she was near me when my eyes got itchy.

please help me ! my birthday party is tonight and i need to be well.

thanks !

  1. it sounds like an allergic reaction to your dog, I'd try to get in to see your eye doctor today and see if they can recommend anything or prescribe you anything to help.

  2. It sounds as if you have an eye infection. Why don't you try using warm salty water on cotton wool and apply it over your eye, this should take down the swelling a bit.

  3. Is it your eye itself that is swollen or the surrounding skin?  If the eye itself is swollen then this probably means a build-up of intraocular pressure.  If your steroid drops aren't helping then I would advise you to visit your doctor, as if unchecked this coulld damage your sight.

If the skin around is swollen then all I can suggest is an icepack or a bag of frozen peas, as for a black eye.  Sorry.

On a totally different issue, many happy returns!

  4. It's probably an allergic reaction. What I find helps, (although I don't know if it will help you) I lay down for a little while with a cold wet wash cloth over my eyes. Normally after a while my eyes feel better. Also follow the directions on the eye drops. If it says you can take the drops up to four times a day, do it.  I also found that if you keep itching your eyes, it makes it worse. Try as hard as you can not to itch. You can try putting a little bit of lotion around your eyes to make the dryness go away. I really hope this helps!

    Happy Birthday!
