My eye waters and burns?

okay my eyes waters and burns. It burnes when i wake up in the middle of the night. i used to think it was my make up cause sometime i forgot to take it off. now i take it off every night and it still burns.And last weekend i was out at the air show and my eye just waterted the whole time. it could not been the sun cause i had sun glasses on. what do you think this could be?

Usually if you have dry eye, your eyes start to water to help lubricate the eyes.  Try over the counter eye drops.  If it doesn't work it could be allergies because it's allergy season, so get some allergy meds.  If both don't work, and it bothers you...go to the doctor.

I agree it could be allergies, or dry eyes, either of these is very uncomfortable. Go along to your pharmicist or Doctor, there are eye drops available over the counter for this problem. If none of these work, it might be wise to go and seee an eye specialist.

Do you wear contact lenses?

Eye makeups can also lead to a few types of conjunctivitis which has a common symptom of burning and irritated eyes.

you can use any lubricant eye drops q.i.d (4 times a day instillation, one drop in each eye)

It could be allergies, why not pop into your local chemist and have a word with the Pharmacist, they can advise you and also you can buy drops from them without having to go see your GP
