I got my eyebrow pierced a few months ago. I took care of it durig the healing process and everything was going good. Then one day it got irritated and a bump formed on the bottom part of the piercing. Like right under the eyebrow. At first I thought it was nothing but it didnt go away. I waited about month and a half and the bump seemed to be getting worse so today I took out the piercing for good. The bump is still there, will it go away now that the piercing is gone? What is this bump caused by? Its bright red right now but thats because I was messing it and irritated it more. It doesnt hurt or anything. I got sea salt and warm water on it and this ointment called Triamcinolone.

  1. I would talk to your piercer about it. I doubt that they will charge you for the appointment, but have them look at it.

There are many complications with surface piercings like an eyebrow piercing. I'm not an expert, but it sounds like you've got some kind of abscess. The best way to take care of this is to leave the jewelry in so that the abscess can drain. Surface piercings have also been known to reject.

Like I said, talk to your piercer. She or he will know what to do.

Hope this helps and good luck!

  2. It could be any sort of infection.. Sounds like a furuncle, but you should definitely see you doctor.

  3. keep cleaning it like you would if it was a new piercing , even though there is no ring. chances are you played with it too much , or changed the ring too early .

i would suggest going back to your piercer , or a doctor.
