My eyeglasses arm fell off and i lost it.?

Can I bring it in and have them put two new arms on the glasses?? Or would it be cheaper to get new glasses???

  1. If money is a problem, sometimes, you can scavange the old "arms" off another pair of glasses and make them fit, but they need to be fairly close to the same style/color, or it looks goofy. (This works better for wire frames where the arms all look pretty similar). Sometimes you need to file the parts slightly to get the hinges to fit.


  2. probably get new glasses. look out for a sale

If you are in a bind and can't do without them until you can get a new pr. take them to a mom and pop (locally owned) optical dispensary that has a lab preferably and its a good bet they will have a spare temple that will fit.  Most large optical chain stores like lens crappers will try to sell you a new pr.  I get a lot of new patients that will come back and buy from me just because I repaired their specs at no charge.  Good luck

  4. You should just get new ones.  There are lots of places online with inexpensive eyeglasses.  Try www.zennioptical.com.
