  1. Cold compresses and some preservative free eyedrops should help with the discomfort somewhat.

Don't use the drops like Visine..for red eyes. Use a type that is meant for use with contacts.

Yep, it sounds like you are going to be without contacts for about a week.

I bet you won't be leaving contacts in overnight anymore.

  2. Get a friend to buy you artificial tears (topical lubricants for the eyes) immediately. Keep instilling 2-3 drops in each eye every 15 minutes for the first hour and then half hourly. As soon as possible, go to the ophthalomologist or an eye emergency of a hospital. Gently patch the affected eye.

The cornea(the transparent part of your eye) does not have any blood vessels, and derives its oxygen from the tears mainly.Contact lenses tend to produce a dry eye, and our tear secretion stops completely when we sleep even normally. this affects the metabolosm of the cornea, predisposes it to infections and trauma (corneal abrasions).

See the doctor immediately to avoid further damage to your eyes

    .

  3. There may be a mild epithelial damage, abrasion or a mild marginal keratitis. You may stop using contact lenses for about a week and see your eye specialist for necessary advice please.
