My eyes are really irritated!?

Question

At first I thought it was pink eye. But then the other eye got irritated also.

They feel itchy, and I've been having discharge since yesterday.

Today I couldn't open my eyes, they felt stuck.

I wear clear contacts, so maybe it has to do something with that.

Any advice? I KNOW I KNOW about asking my doctor and all that. Today is Sunday so I can't go, I'll be going first thing tomorrow.

But I just wanna know If any of you have had this before?

Gel has good advice.  I would just remind you also to stay far away from smoke of any kind, detergents, any toxics indoors.  

Temporary relief? get prone, put warm compresses on your eyes, try to relax, stay calm.  Tomorrow, call your Physician.  Get well soon!

It sounds like dry eyes that have become irritated. I've had dry eyes for some time now and I have to use eyedrops to keep my eyelids from sticking together and to my eyeballs, especially at night. I wear contacts but can't wear them for extended periods due to this problem.

did you sleep with your contacts in? take out your contacts and let your eyes breathe! wear your glasses! try eyedrops...it might just be really bad allergies. i hope you feel better!

Sounds like allergies.  Take out your contacts, because they don't help at all, take an antihistamine.  Visine makes something for allergies that works really well too.

Well, it could still be Pink Eye as it's contagious and can spread to the second eye as well as to other people.  I'm glad to see you're getting it checked tomorrow.  You will have to leave the contacts out for as long as you are treating the eyes and it's possible that the dr will tell you you need to replace them in order to prevent reinfection since they were in when you developed it.

I have had pink eye before and that's exactly what it sounds like to me.  If it turns out to be that, it'll be fine once you get it treated.  Good luck tomorrow.
