every once in a blue moon, one eye (it can be left or right), gets like, wavy in the corner. (If my left eye, the left side, if my right eye, the right side) Its not like i see a straight line wavy, its like my eye is seeing like moving water. It will happen for a few minutes, and slowly slip away and go away. It kinda scares me =/ does this happen to anyone else?

  1. My brother describes almost EXACTLY the same thing (like wavy water).  When he described it to me I remembered this old episode of Dr. Kildare where this patient described sorta the same thing and Dr. Kildare diagnosed it (correctly) as a detached retina and needed surgery. So I told my brother that and he freaked out and immediately got an appointment with the ophthalmologist.  When he told the doctor,  the doctor replied, "Nahhhh, you've been watching too much television...it's nothing".....   My brother blamed me.. but I know it was Dr. Kildare's fault !  So for you ?  Nahhh, it's nothing !

  2. This can sometimes mean a retinal detachment.  Seeing an ophthalmologist may me a good idea as soon as you can.  Don't lift or strain, this sometimes causes pressures in the eye, which you don't want.  It is a good idea to not put this off.
