okay, so im going to be a senior and ive been reading up on some subjects im taking next year to lessen the work load ill have next year.

but ive discovered my eyes get blurry after i read for a while. (after about 2 hours) and thats a problem because sometimes i have to read for lonnnng periods of time. its mostly just after reading something up close, i have problems focussing on anything at a different distance than the thing i was reading. ive tried looking up once in a while and even walking around every half an hour but my eyes still get blurry and stay that way for a long time. this creates huge problems when i have to go from reading a book to typing something up on the computer. it makes it really hard to focus on anything because i have to squint and put all of my energy on just focussing my eyes lol instead of the work.

anyways, do you have any advice?

  1. YOur hot. Yeah its just because Your focusing on the writing and then you look up and your eyes aren't focused. Your really hot.

  2. maybe you're allergic to something i get that too don't know why try to wash them before reading something

  3. go to a optometrist and check there. Tell them what's going on..

in the meantime.. take a break and look faraway into the treees after reading for 20 min. It will relax your eyes!

  4. People in this situation are most often staring, straining, squinting, and diffusing. These are incorrect vision habits that make our eyes very tight and tense and very hard to change focus. They are very easy to pick up on these days because so many people are doing them and have blurry vision and artificial corrections(glasses, contacts, lasik).

Resting from challenging activities can break the staring and straining, but if we don't know what we are doing incorrectly, it will come right back, and if we don't know how to use our eyes, mind, and body together correctly it won't change.

Artificial corrections will only change eye strain into a more tolerable less painful form and do not address the real issues of blurry vision.

I have free information on the best books and the bes local teachers of Natural Eyesight Improvement on my website.

  5. I have the same problem. I went to see my doc and he gave me reading glasses. I only have to wear them to read because I can see everything else just fine. Also, you might want to blink more-sometimes we forget to blink. If you don't blink, your eyes will get dry. You can try natural tears by visine to see of they help.

  6. Go to an optomestrist and get your eyes checked out, even if theres nothing wrong it's still good to have them checked out, you may find that you only need glasses for reading which alot of people do, if you do need that it's best to have it checked out instead of leaving it and getting sore eyes after reading.

  7. haha this actually depends on the writing if the book. Your eyes are just getting used to the writing one the book. Consider an example of sitting down to standing up all of a sudden, Youget dizzzy because you eyes lose focus and your body goes through a slight motion sickness because it is linked to your vision. This can also be do to the lighting as well.
