My eyes look smaller when i do eyeliner on my waterline

i love the look of black on the waterline (maybe even brown) but my eyes always look smaller, is there a technique on applying it so they dont look so small?

well liike if they do, just don use the waterliine ones, i mean use the stick ones, and dont liek put it on ure top eye lid, use the bottom, and keep ure eyes open whiile dewiinq it, cusz ppl i noee do it and it comes out SOO weiird.

do the waterline and around the edqes too, smudge it. curl your lashes and wear mascara

Maybee try applying it to only the edge of your waterline or not on your waterline atall .Sorry if i wasnt much help.I tried my best :(
