Question:

My eyes water when exposed to cold sometimes?

I wear soft contacts. Before that, I wore glasses for many years. Before that...I didn't wear anything, of course. During the times when I wore nothing in my youth, I remember that being in front of an air conditioning vent in the car for a while would make my eyes feel uncomfortable and kind of made them water and feel irritated. The same thing when I wore glasses...and sometimes the same thing when I have my contacts in.

What causes this to happen? Is it humidity of the air or something? Too much or too little moisture in the air that irritates the eyes? It seems to make mine feel 'dry/cold/watery' at the same time. Has anyone else dealt with this? I know it's not an issue with my eyes...just wondering what causes it and what the best way to deal with it is.
