Question:

My eyeshadow always rubs off! How can I make it stay on?

My eyelids rub against my skin which, in turns, rubs off my eyeshadow less than an hour after I put it on! I also have sensitive skin and have to be really careful about the makeup I use. Is there anything that's guaranteed to not rub off? Or something you can put it over it? Or am I just screwed? :)

  1. You can get Urban Decay Primer Potion, Benefit LemonAid or Too Faced Shadow Insurance.

These are all eye shadow primers that help it stay on.

  2. Wash & be sure  app. is on oil free skin.Buy a MATTE type. There are 12hr. REVLON eyeshadows on the market that work really well Hope this helps  Get SOMe!!! enjoy....P.S. Also dusting lids with loose powder also will keep in place.

  3. if you have skin that is more on the oily side of things i would totally avoid putting concealer or foundation on your eyelids, it will just give you dark smudgy creases.  I am all about primer!!!! saves my smudgy little eyelids everyday.  Smokey eyes are only cool if you do it on purpose, not half way through the day when you realize that your eyeshadow has somehow made it like half way up your forehead!!!

  4. If you put a liquid concealer lightly over your eyelid it will hold the eyeshadow all day.  Put some carefully under your lower lash line as well and dust eye shadow over that, then neither your eyeshadow or eyeliner will smear anymore.  That's just the cheap way of doing it but it works just as well for me.  You could also look into eyeshadow primer.

  5. i gotta go with the others.... go for an eye primer or eye base... it'll keep your eyeshadow in place and last longer...

  6. maby urs is to cheap

  7. Use a little translucent powder OR a thin layer of concealer underneat the shadow.

  8. Urban Decay Primer Potion! It's amazing! Makes your eyeshadow STICK for hours and hours.

Or you can try MAC Paints or MAC Paintpots

all are amazing. I haven't been able to find a drug store alternative to these. So I'd recommend splurging on them. But believe me. They're worth it !

They're eyeshadow primers so use them before you'd put on your eyeshadow

  9. put liquid foundation on your eyelids and before it dries, put the eyeshadow on

  10. apply foundation and pressed powder to your eyelids first (and the rest of your face too!) then use your eyeshadow.

  11. You could try a make up base, those help in keeping make up on longer, it works with me and i have a bad habbit of rubbing my eyes so it works wonders.
