My fake nails hurt!?

Question

I just got a manicure done today with fake nails for the first time and they hurt! They're all sore and tight feeling. Is this normal, is something wrong, and how can I make them stop hurting?

dont worry thats normal it happens 2 me wen i get em done 2 mine only lasted 4 lyk 2-3 days so i didnt really do anything 2 solve it well i hope that helped! :]

Basically they file down your real nails and top enamel so they can put the nails on. Then they use a bunch of glue to put them on. I don't get fake nails for both of those reasons. Also they may not be using antibacterial products. If you want to remove them, just soak your nails in acetone nailpolish remover and the whole nails will dissolve right off. You probably just got a bad job this time, my step mom checks out salon's equipment and methods before ever getting it done. I've always done my own nails because I don't trust most of those little nail salons to take the care are precautions for my nails and comfort (and antibacterial products)

it's because of the glue that is to your real nails. Just don't tug on the fake ones and be fragile with them, and you'll get used to them. if they really hurt and you want to take them off without making it even more painful, just dip your fingers in hott water for like 7-10 minutes and the glue will dissolve.

I know what you mean, it almost feels as if they are brused hu? Its okay this will last a day or two and then it will be gone I promise. It sucks we have to go through pain to be beautiful lol

My guess is that you went to a chop shop that charged you about $20-$25 for a full set. These people in those salon do NOT know how to do nails. You get what you pay for with nails. If you pay for cheap nails, you WILL get cheap (and painful) nails. Avoid the cheap, strip mall foreign owned places at all costs. In my opinion, you got exactly what you paid for...

well, its your first time, so your not really use to it. - go et a bowl, and put hot water in it, - not too hot -, then after a couple mintues, it`ll feel better.
