We are not interested in typical tourist sites like Blarney Castle. Killarney and the Ring of Kerry might even be a bit too touristy for us, but we are open on this. We are interested in seeing Dingle, the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, and/or similar sites.

  2. CIE tours...they are great, and you can see everything you want.

  3. I highly recommend a company called Vagabond Tours.  They have established tours that leave from Dublin.  We did the 5 day tour south/west and it was wonderful!  We were a group of 5 who met a family of 5 from Amsterdam and 2 ladies from New England.   All tours are in a LandRover which only holds 12 people.  We were able to drive off the beaten path, on roads that seemed too narrow to pass, up hillsides, on the beach! We did go to Blarney Castle and Rock of Cashel on Day 1 but that was the last of the touristy things.  It was so nice to pass those huge tour buses and be so glad we weren't on one of them.  Our group could stop for ice cream when we wanted, pull over for a great photoshoot, etc.  We stayed in bed/breakfasts in small towns along the way.  They also work with groups to plan an individualized tour to meet your needs.  One of the new friends I made on my trip went back 1 year later for an individualized group tour.  Check out their website.  www.vagabond-ireland.com

I would travel with this company again in a heartbeat.

    Enjoy!
