Our son will be almost 7 by the time we go. Has anyone taken their child on the various canopy tour's? Is there a particular tour you recommend?

  1. of course. there are like 3 tour companies that i know of that are really kid-friendly.

  2. it depends which company your using.  we stayed at los suenos and the ziplining near there was much more kid/tourist friendly.  we ziplined, however, near arenal through skytrek.  my youngest sibling was 11 at the time...i would imagine for a 7-year-old the runs we did would be intimidating.  at the place we went, you rode up in a tram and were able to decide after a short "practice run" whether you wanted to continue.  **also, see if the company has a weight restriction b/c your son may not be heavy enough for some longer cables

  3. hey dont be sorry adyari, fulanito and crazy visa are the same person just look what a coinsidence it is in their answers and how i know because she thought that by portraying herself as "fulanito" a "guy" (cuz she is a L*****n so i guess) and "adyari" she wasnt goin to get caught but notice in the pictures they have asian eyes she is half chinese so she gaveit away with her nswers her cheating having so many best answers when this girl is not smart at all and always answering nicaragua questions! "adyari" who is really not her name or her picture cuz that was a candidate for miss nicaragua this year is actually scary looking:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/user:lanico...

she cheats she has 40+ accounts that she uses to ask questions and chose herself as best answer to gain points plus when questions go into voting she uses those accounts to vote for herself. she is a loser she has no life the internet is her only friend! this is the girl that edits and puts all kinds of negative lies in wikipedia about costa rica and el salvador and tries to make nicaragua's section like nicaragua is the best when its the sorriest thing in central america she is an editor just read the link... that is why wikipedia is not to be trusted! all the info in there is fake and she puts b.s in there.

  4. I have taken only one canopy tour in CR and it was in Jaco beach, about an hour and a half from San Jose.  It is called the Chiclets Tree Canopy Tour.  (because the canopy ride is in Chiklets trees)

They were very professional, there was one kid among us about 10 years old, and I felt it was very safe.  Usually they take 2 to 4 guides depending on the number of people in the tour and they are with 100% of the time.  While one is waiting for you on the other tree, another guide is making sure you are properly rigged on the tree you are about to leave.  One guide is usually behind the whole group all the time.  One guide even rode with one gentleman that was afraid to go on his own.

They tell you where to look on each single ride so you do not miss the view of the beach, animal or whatever.

They explain each ride you are going to take and when you need to break ( so you make it to the other side)

They spoke fluent english and they gave you an intro on what to expect, how to properly use the equipment, and what to do if case a worst case scenario happens.

The equipment they used was in good condition and the service overall was great.

On the ride itself I can tell it was great, you can see the beach, the trees were really high and it was a great and fun adventure for me and my family.
