My family and I are thinking of moving to australia my husband is an upholsterer we looked at a job in Sydney

It is in Alexandria what is that Suburb like for families and saftey wise. Also a job in Brisbane where is the best place to bring up kids and isn't too expencive to live.

Alexandria is an industrial suburbs, lots of warehouses and not really a place to live in but it's ok to work there. There's a meriton apartment at Waterloo (close to Alexandria) where young families normally stay at, so your husband doesn't have to commute far.

I'm not sure about Brisbane as I don't live there.

But nowadays lots of families move there coz it's not as crowded, a bit more lay back and less expensive than Sydney.

Alexandria is close to the city of Sydney, the rental market is very pricey near any city  the further away from the city the less pricey it is.
