  1. perfect solution: watch "All Dogs Go To Heaven" with her and tell gently tell her her doggys there now? =) hope i helped.

  2. I'm sorry for your loss.

I don't think that you should tell her Bingo ran away.  That's just stupid.  Tell her that Bingo's at the Rainbow Bridge.  If she asks what the rainbow bridge is, tell her the Rainbow Bridge is a special place where pets go when God takes them from earth and it's pet heaven and someday the humans go up to Heaven and they meet up with their pets at the rainbow bridge.  See, you're not telling her that Bingo died, but you're telling her that he/she is no longer here, but that she's happy.

Do not tell her that Bingo ran away.  I'd be mad if my parents had told me that when I was little (although I got my first pet when I was five, and she's still alive today).

  3. Sorry for your loss; that's so sad. I always think honesty is best for kids (and anyone!) Tell her that Bingo was sick and died, and explain to her what that means (he won't be here anymore, etc.) She will be sad, but that's her right as a human being.

  4. just tell her the doggie left to "San Diego" for example. just say somewhere. don't tell her it died, she's only 2. my 3yr old niece thinks her little dog left to New Jersey and she wants to go visit him one day.

  5. tell her the dog ran away and when she is older tell her the dog died

  6. don't be foolish and tell her she died tell her that she ran away, a 2 year old should not be told of death etc
