My family is cancelling our Tivo subscription however I have shows on the Tivo I want to watch?

After subscription is cancelled can i still watch shows that have already been recorded?

Couple things here:

1) Yes, you can watch anything that's already stored on your Tivo.  The subscription is only something that gives you information on "new/upcoming" shows.  The previous shows recorded are yours to keep/view (provided you keep your Tivo box).

2) Related, but slightly off topic, you might be able to convince Tivo to keep you as a customer by dropping your monthly subscription fee.

Hi William,

Yes, you will be able to see your recorded shows. I canceled the subscription on one of out TiVo's in January and we are still watching shows and I still have it connected to the network.

They don't disable it. When the guide runs out in a couple weeks it loses the ability to record new shows. You can't even do timed recording but all the shows you recorded on it will be available.

Before we canceled our subscription I filled it with good shows and movies. That way it is storing programming that we may enjoy again.

You should as long as you disconnect the incoming wires that come from the wall to the Tivo. Do not connect any wires from the wall to your Tivo. Just have your Tivo connected to your TV, and you should be able to watch what ever is stored on your Tivo which has a sata hard drive.
