They dont need one yet till after this summer(2008) right now they can come in with thier license if there U.s citizens even if their not i know people that arnt U.s citizens and they say there U.s citizens with no problem...but anyways.... after Jan 31 2008 u'll need a license plus ur birth certificate to get by by land! My buddy works at the San Ysidro border crossing...trust me!

  3. No.  They will not need a passport to enter the US via land if they are US, Canadian or Mexican citizens. They will need proof of citizenship, and a government issued photo id.
