My family thinks this name is horrible.?

I'm having a baby girl in December and the only name that I really love is Layla Aubrey. When I asked my family's opinion they immediately disliked Layla but said Aubrey was cute. I tried to think of another name but my head is stuck on that name. I don't really care whether they like it or not but I wanted to know if other people thought it was a horrible name .

if family means husband, think of something else. if family means parents, definitely go with it if its what you love. i personally think its a great name. but thats just me.

Honestly Layla makes me think of Star Wars, but I do like the name Aubrey as well.  I agree with others, if you husband likes the name too, go with it.  If not choose something else.

I am in opposition to your family. I love Layla, but am not crazy about Aubrey (reminds me of an online comic). It is a name you don't hear often, but is very pretty.

Plus she will have an awesome song with her name in it.

i think it's pretty....it's your decision...not your family's...and you need to get more of a backbone to be a mama bear for your baby. i think it will come out as soon as you hold her!

I like the name Layla. I think it's adorable. Don't let your family talk you out of a name you love. It's not fair to you. Your family has gotten to name their children, now it's your turn to name yours.

I think both of the names are pretty, but I don't really like them together. But if you like them then you should go with them, it's your baby and when she is here I doubt they will care about her name when they look at her face, good luck!!! :)

sounds good to me  my family didnt like some of my names i had picked out for my girls either. but the way i look at it is its my baby (also my husbands ) we will name her what we want

Okay your family doesn't get that you really want to name your baby Layla. Ignore them and just go with the name that you love and i'm sure your baby girl is gonna love it to.

I like the name. I have three kids, and with each ones there were objections to the names I chose.  I named them what I decided to name them, not some of the terrible suggestions they had.  Anyway, my kids are seven, three, and 18mos now, and no one ever even brings up the fact they don't like there names.  Kids, kinda, become there name.  After you have your daughter and name her, within a couple of years you won't even be able to see her with a different name.  No one liked my niece's name when my sister announced it, either.  My niece is three now, and I couldn't see her as anything else.  I don't even think about it anymore.  I would not "officially" announce the name until after she's born, that way you can hear every ones suggestions, and you don't have to worry about them trying to talk you out of the name you've chosen.  I did that with my youngest son, everyone was so glad that I'd finally decided on a name no one had any negative comments on it.  Whatever you choose, your family will grow to love it.  How could they not love a beautiful baby, regardless of her name?

Layla Aubrey is a beautiful and nicely flowing name! If you care so much about your family liking the name then make a compromise with them, for example spelling it Leila. Really, as long as you and your partner like it then its okay. Go with it!

Well I love that name and it's your kid.  You name her whatever you want.  The way I put it when I was pregnant was, I made her, I will call her whatever I like.
