My fancy mouse has a broken back... read on

i acidentially dropped it. i already took it back. the store lady said the back was broke. my mouse coudnt move its back legs. but was there any way i could've fixed it???

Well, I think that if its back is broken, it must be paralyzed, just like a human if it were to break its back. I am sorry, no ideas. I think that it would have been best to consult and small animal vet and see what could have been done.

There is normally not much a vet can do for a small rodent. I had a problem with a mouse once who had horrible ear mites and later on a hamster that was attacked badly by his cage mate and the vet said it wouldn't be worth the cost and pain to the animal to fix the problems. If they can fix something like this it will cost you lots of money. You should have him put to sleep, its the most humane thing you can do for the poor fellow since I am sure he is in pain. Please just don't let him suffer.

No it cant be fixed, there was nothing you can do. The only thing left to do is get it put down.
