Question:

My fat and Under Armour? I've earned the nickname "Jiggle Tank."?

I'm starting football this year as an offensive lineman for the freshman team. I'm tall (6 foot 7 i've grown an inch) but since I'm a lineman I'm also pretty fat (330 lbs. a 30 lb gain!) I'm nervous about wearing Under Armour to practice. The Armour came with the uniform and stuff and we have to wear it to practice/games. Is there a way I can wear it without it making me look even fatter?

  1. Being a high school fatty myself, I understand your instinctive self consciousness. I was 220lb, but only 5'3" tall. My waist was 38", with a 26" inseam. Don't get me wrong...I'm not looking for a date just making a comparison.

You obviously can handle yourself socially. You're not hiding, and seem to have adapted to the present situation

So...Are you freakin nuts?! With your size, you're sitting on a potential goldmine!

Money isn't everything, but you're potential to make a few bucks at something you hopefully love, is astounding. Stay focused on getting in shape, and improving your techniques.

This means wearing your gear, then realize what God has given you, and take control over your destiny! This means lots of time training, but not at the expense of studies.

I've coached at the pop-Warner level for many years, but never coached anyone with your potential.

So realize your potential, work as hard as you can, and stay humble as the success comes along.

God bless and best of luck!

  2. well ur 6'7.... so u should try 2 lose 30 lbs... and ull still be a massive giant..... dont think about the nickname.. u shouldnt care.. they say sometin knock their heads off... hey at least its not like at our school... in pratcice when we arent using pads we have shirts vs skins...... at least ur not going SKIN!

  3. Why was it necessary to tell us a lie about your height and weight?  You could've just said "What do you do when you're fat and you have to wear under armour?"  A 6'7" freshman wouldn't give a rat's @ss what he's wearing.

  4. hot d**n you're like NFL size! who cares what they say, you'll just be playing around with them all year!

  5. Not really.  Don't worry about how you'll look with it on.  Concentrate on getting better and getting stronger.  Eventually you'll lose the fat and replace it with muscle.  Keep working on your strength and conditioning as well as playing better otherwise you might not have to worry too much about wearing the uniform for too long.

  6. man up, you take showers naked, underarmor is not that bad. 90% of highschool teams cant afford that, my uniform includes a raggy 19 year old shimel that is torn in 2 places, it is older than me. the year is in the tag of when it was purchased.

be happy that you have underarmor. and at 6'7", 330lbs, you are a beast, no one will pick on you after you knock the **** out of them.

  7. dont worry! just think about where the team would be if threy didnt have a horse (no offense) like you!

  8. This actually puts you at an advantage over other kids your age, trying to play the same position.  You have good height and a good weight for your position.  Once you get into the swing of high school football and start practicing and working out, you will begin to lose fat and replace it with muscle.  Muscle weighs more than fat and is much more dense.  Which means, you could look thinner but actually weigh the same or more.  If you stay in football and stay dedicated, this will happen to you.  That way, when you  move on to college, you'll already be physically ready to play on the o-line right away.  A lot of high school kids going into college, need to be put on a special eating/lifting program so they get bigger.  But since you are oversized for your age, you'll already be beyond that.

  9. no worrys bro

    your a beast 6'7 330!!!!

if you play well you could use football to get you into college and play football professionally

listen im 5'8 145 and it makes me look fat

    and i almost have a 6-pack

under armour makes EVERYONE look fat

it even makes ray lewis look fat

theres really no way to avoid it im sorry

if you feel fat then just try and shed some pounds cuz nobody needs to be 330

good luck i hope this helps

  10. Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn kid you're 6' 7"? that is extremely tall if you keep playing hard and bulking up you'll definitely move on to college ball

If anybody says anything to you run really fast towards them like you are going to tackle them but stop right before you get there, that should scare the c**p out of them or just say "why dont you say it to my face" and they most likely won't unless they're stupid, why would anyone mess with someone that big? i sure wouldn't

hold on you have a son? i'm wondering if this question is real or not:
