My parents divorced when I was 2. I never really saw my father or ever got to know him, and when he died I kinda got robbed of the chance to ever get to know him. So, I've been trying to find anything I can about him. But I'm having a lot of trouble. All I really know is that he was a Sonar Technician in the Navy. I've got the marriage license from him and my mom and I know his ssn, but I still can't find anthing. Any ideas? Or possibly, ANYONE KNOW RANDY PHILLIP HARRIS?

  1. Aww hunny im soo sorry you didnt get your chance to get to know your father.....

You can always go to a Navy recruiter and speak to them about it ... they will help you out with finding his unit and can help you try to find any military info you're looking for on your dad. Plus im sure if you can get his Unit number, you'll be able to find and possibly get to speak with some of the guys he worked with.

They will help you because you are his Son, you're immediate family.

    Good luck sweetie.

  2. First link is the National Archives is St. Louis. The second is how to order copies of your dad records.Good luck.

  3. Since he is your dad, you may be able to request a copy of his military records (family members can request them from deceased service members).  Good luck!
