My father doesn't allow me at his house. Good reason??

My father doesn't allow me at his house for the reason he says is that i scare his step children and i look too gangster. I'm 22, and the only gangster thing about me is that i have a shaved head and a goatee. I'm hispanic, 5-9 175 and a fitness trainer. He tells me that i scare his step wife, and his step children, who are 19 and 24. Is this true, or he just doesn't want me around. He left me my mom and my sister for this lady and family when i was 14.

ask him what you could do to make yourself look better. change accordingly. if he finds some other reason to not want you around then you know that he just doesn't want you around. maybe because he feels guilty.

You're gonna have to talk to your pops about that. Sounds like a family issue. Could be anything from "Be an adult, get you own place and be a man!" or you do really scare his step family or maybe you remind him of your mother. Just a thought.

In my opinion a father should love you unconditionally. The 2 step-children aren't children anymore to where he would have to protect them from your looks of all things. To me it sounds like he doesn't want you around, but why don't you ask him and let him tell you if it't true or not. Let him know how you feel. Best of luck :)

No I wouldnt be scared of you and trust me I am scared of my own shadow. So I dunno...but I dont think your dad would want you around. i mean your part of him. His kids are old enough to grow a set, if you know what I mean. I mean what are you gonna do?? even if you was ganster...its family and they should know you wouldnt hurt family.

Only your dad can truly answer this question for you.  I've learned to not judge a book by it's cover, and I'd easily find myself talking to you on an elevator!  Your look sounds like the style that is currently "in."  The host of Deal or No Deal looks like this and I wonder if the other family would be scared of his appearance?

not a good reason if its coming from a father who abandoned u ur sis and mom, i feel bad 4 u. but u cud do this..... altho idk if hes worth it... get rid of goatee and let ur hair grow back longer, and then c if he lets u in or if he makes another excuse. becuz if he makes another excuse, that just duznt sound logical, dont waste ur breath on him cuz hes a jerk who duznt care bout his own kids.

He sounds like a jerkoff. To leave your mom and you like that, and then to deny you in his house? Sounds to me like a lame excuse. If he loved you, he would not judge you like that, because he would have taken the time to introduce you to his family, and accepted you as a part of it.

that is horrible. it sounds like maybe his family doesn't like you or his wife. maybe she thinks you are a bad influence for her children. if i were you i wouldn't want to go there seeing how badly he treated you. i'm sorry.

If that's how he wants to be, don't go around. He'll either come around and ask you to come over, or you'll at least know what he's really thinking. I wouldn't change anything about your appearance..what you do what your body hair is your business. Don't let him get you down..hang out at your moms house instead. I think her kids are plenty old enough to know whether they should be scared of you..I mean, 24??

NOT A GOOD REASON AT ALL! I feel that he just doesn't like you and want you around because he wants to be with the other family he feels that you are just a person and that you should leave him alone since he can't stand showing his new family who you are! Sorry man this sucks!
