He wants an internet provider so he tried the local cable providers. The problem is he has to commit to a 2 year plan and the charge is $100.00 a month. He tried dial-up but that was over $100.00 a month. So if he went with the local cable company he would be paying for service in 2 places at the same time making a $200.00 a month service. Any ideas he can check out?

  1. Tell him to look into a mobile internet plan from verizon / at&t / etc.  You can get broadband speeds, anywhere, for like $50/month.You do get capped on overall band with consumption to 5gigs per month.  Normal email/web browsing wouldn't be a problem, but you don't want to go over that.

  2. he could try an air card...just go to you local cell phone provider and ask them for one.... its a monthly fee that's added on to you plan and it just plugs into you computer and gives you internet access any where you get a cell phone signal
