Because he took the money from my minor savings account, technically he didn't break the law because he set up a minor account for me when I was under 18... he never changed it even though I'm 20 so he still had full control and I has to ask permission to take any money out..

he TOOK around 30,000 from me!

hes in debt almost half a million dollars so i know his motive, but its still horrible to steal from your own kid...

what i should do? HELP

  1. I don't think you can do anything. Technically it was his money, he just decided not to give it to you. Think of it this way, at least you're helping him with his debts, you can always take out a student loan, you may qualify for a grant

  2. suck it up, get a job and move on.

  3. That is disgusting... your own father taking your money, I'm sorry but if your father gets himself into debt like that its his own problem and shouldn't put his problems onto you. Parents are meant to get their children onto a good start if their able to...not put them in debt.

You need to find yourself someone who would handle your case for not to much and get your money back! Nobody needs a father like that...

  4. Your an ingrate snot nose cry baby you should doing what ever you can to help out.  I suggest you move out of his house at once

  5. Wow what a slap in the face to a parent, yeah sure your father put the money aside for your college education, yeah sure it was (key word "was") his money, that was more than likely in an interest bearing account, over the years, and he only took $30,000.00, leaving the sum of (what)?  Did he leave you anything, could some of his debt be related to you? Sorry, I think you are being somewhat selfish here, why is it the almighty dollar that rips a family apart.  If your father had asked to take the $30,000.00 out, would you have been okay with that, is that it, he didn't consult you?  Are you in college?   You know  what, it is only money, move on, in life, money comes and goes, and just think, this money, back then, you didn't even know about.  Thank your father for at least having the forethought he had to do what he did.  God Bless.

  6. sue him.....what a sh***y dad...thats theft

  7. hahahahahahahahahahaha. wat a legend. but proberly not the best idea, i think he should lay-lo for a while

  8. get a job and make you own bank account

  9. WOW! ok, well y did he do that? i mean if he needed the money and he needed help, then i think u should help ur old man out, but if he just took it coz he wants the money 4 no reason, or u got in trouble then well since ur old enough get a seperate account and ask ur dad 2 transfer the money 2 ur own! COZ UR N ADULT NOW AND HE CAN'T TELL U WOT 2 DO ANYMORE unless ur still living with him. and tell him that ur not a kid anymore and now u can do woteva u want and u can't just take 30,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!
