Can you please tell me why this is caused? His eye is partially blind. He is taking medication for hypertension. Is hypertension a cause for this ? Or does this happen for a person who is takes alcohol daily ?

  1. Avastin is an amazingly successful drug for some people with some retinal conditions. You need a more specific diagnosis for us to give you more information, but basically your father should follow his ophthalmologist's advice. There are many types of retinal damage, with different treatments required.
