  1. Pride in what others think of you.

Not pride in what you think of you.

  2. What he means is that you should place your pride in the right moment and at the right stand. Like for example, make sure that you are justifiable and accountable in most of your actions or your reasons to be with justice other than being ruled with you pride. Just be humble and try to be reasonable as possible. That's all I could say.

  3. If you where proud, while in your father's house and used it because of what your father has/had, them its in a  wrong place. Or still, you are proud for non-beneficial things little material things and academically weak, so he may have wished you be proud in that field instead.

Well, i cant give you the wright answer unless you provide some little bite of detail.

But i suggest you speak to him to let you know clearly what he meant and suggestions on how you could improve.

    Good luck dear

  4. To your question I would assume that what HE values as being something worth pride is not the same as what you think. But reading your additional comments this man sound like a rapist and abuser so I wouldn't respect anything he said to you.

I would say get as far away from him as possible. You say that you don't want a girlfriend or kids, but if this is an effect of the things he is done to you don't give him the satisfaction of messing your head up. If a person suffers from any kind of abuse as a child you may need some counselling to get to terms with it.
