I live in Acapulco. You got tourist price.

Try going behind the Oxxo at playa Diana and look for a little stand called Tortas Diana. The tortas are huge and great , the Tacos barbacoa are equally as good.

Torta - 26 peso

taco's - 20 pesos

In my neighborhood I get Picada's at 10 pesos each and enchilada's at 20 pesos.

Get off the costera about a mile for the real Acapulco and real food at local prices.

Check out Pie de la Cuesta for a great deserted beach. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city and noise pollution. Flat , deserted and some huge 20 ft waves. The Pie rules - laid back and deserted.

Jump on a bus ( green ) labeled Pie de la Cuesta but also Playa Luces. It will take you out past the air force base and turn around . Grab some cold Coronas and head down one of the ally ways and have a blast. go across the street and go water skiing in the lagoon.

Picada's and tacos are 25 pesos max. Plenty of great little mom an pop stores and restaurants.

Man!!!  They must have seen you coming!!!!  I've eaten like no tomorrow in cafes, restaurants all over Mexico and never paid that much, even for two ppl.......
