My federal tax return is due to be mailed on July 18th- When will I receive it?

I filed my taxes on July 1st (I had an extension so I could file late). I used an electronic service because it supposed to cut the wait in half from 6 weeks to 3 weeks. When I checked the status of my return it said that it'll be mailed on Friday July 18th. I'm having my daughter's birthday party on Saturday July 26th and need the check to finish buying presents. Will I have it by Friday July 25th, or maybe sooner? I don't know where the checks get mailed from- I live in PA if that helps. I don't know if it takes the normal mail delivery time or longer. if they actually mail it on the 18th, you should have it within a week

You mean you want to know when your refund check will arrive. Check the status at www.irs.gov. You would need your social security number and the tax return with you when you check the status. They would ask information from your return to let you know the status.

If it states it will be mailed on the 18th, then you could receive it on the 18th because usually the checks are issued 3 days before the date.  You will for sure have it by the 25th.
