My fellow Christians - what do you make of these allegations about morals and that Chimpanzees have morality??

Please read this TIME magazine article which talks about the science of human morality and claims that Chimpanzees have morality...

Its a bit long I know but please read it if you can - Im not sure what to make of it... but I think it might threaten my faith a little:

Your faith should stand up to all your questions. I am a Christian but don't take the bible literally. I interpret and use it to guide me. I believe Science has a place in religion. I believe in evolution. I haven't heard anything that makes me doubt my faith so far.

Why is it so hard to believe that us humans are the only ones who know right from wrong. We are after all animals ourselves, albeit more intelligent.

Morals do not come from religion or god. Don't be afraid to question your faith or anything for that matter. If something doesn't make sense, you ask questions. And by asking you learn a little bit more than you previously did. It's a step in the right direction.

Remember when that female Gorilla picked up the little boy who had fallen into her pit? She was known to be dangerous. But she cradled him in her arms and brought him to the zoo keeper.

Natural instinct? Maybe. As for the article on chimpanzees, I agree with the answer 'why should that threaten your faith?'

Science and religion do go together.....it's all part of creation. I don't know why Christians are so afraid of anything that threatens their 'superiority' over other creatures. You don't know that they may be far superior to us.

Dont confuse scientific evidence that denies the christian dogma's with true faith. If you truely believe in god, how can an article make you doubt?
