Well the other day I noticed my leo female gecko had small and a little amout of white spots on her head and then on her tail. On the head there is about 2-3 Spots and on the tail around 3-4 spots. Is it a parasite or what? I feed her regulary and make sure she stays hydradited. I also keep her cage at 77F-82F. Im starting to get worried if I had her to Rept. Doc. how much would would it cost cause I will take her if the white spots are parasites

  1. it could be a shedding problem or it could be a form of dermatitis. I cant think of any external parasites that cause white spots on your leo....

a vet usually charges 30 to 40 dollars to do the exam on reptiles .. but again if its just skin its not a problem.

if your worried about it call around and find a vet that treats reptiles....they wont charge you anything for calling and asking..although they will probably tell you to bring her in!....if you think it might be skin ..mist her cage with warm water...soak her hide and put it back in the cage.....if you could post pics i could help more

  2. I'm not sure, I always thought it was shed problems with mine and it would go away after awhile. Just to make sure you should check with the ppl here http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/f... I learned everything I know from the prof. breeders there. They will take care of you :) You don't want to spend money on a vet checkup on something very minor but you should ask the breeders there. Good luck with ur little girl

  3. agreed with jessika

and also maybe you should keep the cage a little warmer like 80-85 degrees
