I have 3 cats - 2 males and 1 female. The female was the first cat that was brought into the home. I noticed the other day that she will sit in the doorway but will not enter my bedroom. The other 2 cats, both males, will come and go out of the bedroom all day long but not her. She used to lay on my bed although not as much as the other two but now i can't even get her to pass through the door way. Why do you think she is doing this?

  1. Maybe she feels intimidated by the male cats. I would carry her in your room, kick the males out and close the door and spend time with her. See how she acts... maybe she needed you to stick up for her or something. Maybe she feels unwanted in your room... I dunno... try it.

  2. maybe she doesnt wanna with the male ones!!!but this is very unlikely!!maybe there's a ghost in ur bedroom!!!!!BEWARE!!!but honestly  maybe the cat feels it makes her feel L*****n if she enters a GIRL's bedroom!!!:p

  3. If you clean your bedroom a lot, or vacuum with perfumed things, she either may not like the smell of it, or it may have erased her own scent from the room. Also, if the boys have marked the room, she may see it as their teratory, and is not allowed in by them.

  4. Cats have preferred places to sleep, maybe she has got bored with the bedroom.

My cats get bored with places and sleep somewhere different.
