My female guppy was huge but she only had about 8 fry....?

She is smaller now but not as small as the other fish, she is still bloated, what do they look like when birth is over.. how long can she be in birth?

Guppies are notorious cannibals.  Many of the fry may have been eaten before you even noticed they were born.  That also explains why she is still bloated.

Female guppies are able to stop dropping young for a week or so.  Give her time.  Oh, she'd be skinny again.
