Question:

My female rat likes my other female rat a bit too much, normal?

one of my female rats likes to 'jump' on the other female rat's back, if you know what i mean. i don't think this is normal, i can't afford to seperate them and buy a new cage. do you think i should take her to the vets?? can they do somthing?? is it only temporary for five months old female rats?!? i dont think so, HELP!!

  1. who is this hurting? why split them up, I think it's pretty funny actually. Homosexuality in animals is as common as in humans. Besides, they are rats.


  2. i dont think you should be worried. my male rat will sometimes 'hump' his brother. she is just being dominant.

    Rats are social creatures, so they do get along well with their partners.

    Your rats like each other a lot, so it doesn't really matter.

    In fact it is a good sign.

    Don't worry, and no need to bother the vet because this is a silly thing.

    Most probably she is just trying to show her dominance.

    Nothing is better than a loving couple ya know.

  4. It's no big deal... guinea pigs do the samething sometimes. I don' t think that the vet would be able to do anything about it but tell you to seperate them if you don't like it. Unless she's hurting the other rat, there's no harm in it.

  5. u shore its not a male if so then u have to seperate them unless u wanted them to breeed i dont think vets can do anythig if it is femaledont no y she doin it if she is female but check to c if male
