  1. I would recommend that your ferret should be on bed rest. Do not try and play with him, he needs to recover. Change is food and water about twice a day and try to get him to the vet immediately. If he begins to get worse I would advise taking him to a twenty-four hour pet hospital.

  2. your poor little weasel most likely won't make it till tomorrow night. If you love this little one and don't have the money to pay for emergency then PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ask someone a parent maybe a friend co- worker with a credit card or maybe borrow cash from them. Tell them you will pay them back in payments. Your little one needs to go to the emergency vet now!!! think if you mom was asking like this or a human baby would you wait it out until they died? I don't want to hear about a ferret going to the rainbow bridge when it could have possibly been saved.

  3. Please bring it to an emergency vet. Your ferret deserves better than to wait. It needs to have fluids now and she might not survive until the morning without them. Yes it will cost $150 extra but she needs it. Please be kind.

Keep her warm, hold her against you. Try to give some ferrettone if she will eat it. It is impossible to tell what is wrong with her. It could be a blockage, stroke, insulinoma, lymphoma, a heart problem, cancer, anything. But fluids are the most important thing when dehydrated. Please consider going to an emergency vet.

  4. he can't wait until tomorrow. when these little guys crash, they crash fast. he needs to go in now, tonight, asap.

fill a pop bottle up with hot water, slide it into a sock, and use that as a heating pad. cover him and the bottle together (be careful not to cover his head or put it in such a way that he might get tangled.)

try rubbing some corn syrup on his gums. if he has undiagnosed insulinoma, then he needs the quick jolt to get his blood sugar back up. if he does have it, it can mean the difference between him making it and him not. if he doesn't have that, it won't do any harm. this may buy you  a little time to arrange getting him to the vet tonight.

don't try forcing him to eat or drink if he isn't able to swallow. he'll choke...but if he IS able to swallow a bit when you put it on his tongue, then keep doing that every couple hours to keep something steady going into his system. (canned food mixed with water inside a cheek may work if he's able to get it down.) ferrets on a good day can't go more than four hours or so without food...and this is not a good day for him.

i cannot stress enough how serious this is. this is a true medical emergency. he CANNOT wait until tomorrow to bring him in somewhere for help. he needs to be given an IV and some immediate attention to bring him out of this crisis. at the very least, call an emergency vet up to see what else they suggest you can do, but get a hold of someone somewhere.

  5. he coulda have eatin something that he cant digest. which is makin him not want to eat or drink. you shoulda really take him to an emergency vet. my boyfriends 1st ferret ate cotton for some reason and had the same sort of symptoms. he had to get surgery to remove all the cotton because he couldnt pass it. i hope he does get better though

  6. okay keep it in warm blankets and give it water every 15 minutes try to give him a little bit of food  every half hour or so until morning do the same thing the rest of the day or at least try to

i hope he gets better soon!!!

  7. Take it to an emergency clinic ASAP, not the next day. This could be serious. Leave food and water out and prepare a little solution called "Duck Soup" (look for recipes online) and attempt to hand-feed your ferret. If it still does not take the Duck Soup, let it rest and keep it as comfortable as possible.

I hope your ferret feels better soon!!!

  8. omg, keep an eye on, please tell me if it's allright. Keep some water near it and feed it and make sure it drinks and eats

  9. DONT WAIT GO TO THE VET NOW!!!
