  1. He should know;  he gets taught that in basic.

  2. 1587.90 basic pay a month.

Hey Devil Cat in the Army a PFC is an E-3. You need to go look up your rank structures in the differenct services.

The Army starts with PVT E-1, PVT E-2, PFC E-3, SPC/CPL E-4, SGT E-5, SSG E-6, SFC E-7, MSG/1SG E-8, SGM/CSM E-9. I should know, I retired from the Army with 21 years of service and I still work for them.

  3. This isn't a direct answer to the question, it's a correction.

Hey Belle, USMC wife, the question is about "Basic Training" -- not "Boot Camp" -- so, read, "Army", not "Marine Corps" -- So, E3 is PFC, not LCPL.

So, next time you want to correct someone, make sure info is correct.

  4. Not very much.

But for the USMC wife...a PFC in the army is an E3...and PV2 is an E2.

  5. well before taxes it should be about 1500.

  6. depends on his e grade

  7. Check the pay chart that someone posted, but that's just roughly. If you get married before he gets shipped out overseas, it will shoot his pay to the roof. More so, than if you wait, because of all the Extended Bennies, Hazard Pay, Housing for you and extra money to run your house hold.

So, if you really love him and he the one; why wait, Marry NOW.

  8. According to the defenselink website. He will be getting paid $1509 a month. But let me tell you ... thats before taxes. He will also be paying for a GI bill, medicaid, charity if he wants to, standard tax fees ect. When my husband was a PFC before we got married, his basic pay was $1509 but only got to see $1000 a month. Because of taxes and the charity he donated to.

EDIT: Hey justifier66, your pay rate is for a LCPL (E-3)... Her Fiance is a PFC. A PFC is an E-2.

Your Fiance will get paid on the first and fifteenth. So roughly $500 every two weeks. Plus he will get a $180 dollar clothing allowance but thats a one time a year thing.

If you two get married now, his pay wont "shoot through the roof" Military really doesnt get paid that much. Depending on where he is stationed will depend on his BAH (basic housing allowance). Where I am .. its $850. But he wont get any extra pay besides BAH unless he gets deployed. You only get BAH if you're married. Or if you're a SGT.

    .

Either way my point is..  theres a c**p load of taxes. So dont base your income on getting all of that. Military pays taxes too.(Alot of people dont think they do for some reason.)

HER FIANCE IS A MARINE, SO DONT TELL ME TO CHECK MY FACTS...WHY DONT YOU CHECK YOURS!!!!!!!!
