and how do i apply for a usa visa to travel with him soon after marriage.does he need to apply the visa for me from usa,then what are the documents i must send to the usa to apply for visa from there .iam an indain (mumbai),my fiancee, is from usa .. are marriage is through internet meetings ..and plan to get marrried soon ,,but my fiance, has only 3 weeks of holiday from usa ..is it possible for a civil marraige then ...and then how does the visa processing can be done at the earliest ..form india or from USA,if so what are the documents i need to send to the usa if its done from there ,,and how fast can i accquire it.

There are three visas that a person can use to apply for a spouse. K-3(which is a non-immigration visa), CR-1 (immigration visa) and a IR-1 (you do not qualify for this one). After marriage your husband will return to the US (I am assuming he is a US citizen) and apply for either a K-3 or a CR-1 visa. When approved you are allowed to come to the US. With a K-3 you then have to file a lot more paperwork. With a CR-1 there is a lot less paperwork. The K-3 is usually faster but expect to wait a number of months before approval. Good Luck!
