  1. FIRST CONGRATS!!

I have the perfect place.. its Moon Palace In the Riviera Maya Cancun Zone...  I stayed there 7 days last year in august- it was great and tons of honeymooners.. they have  honeymooners dinner... with all newly wed couples.. etc.. water games in the pool section with the newlyweds ... and gorgeous rooms.. ( queen bed.. jacuzzi in every room.. and not to mention the huge bathroom and ocean view rooms.. check out their site).

*the best part id you stay at one Palace resort you can play and spend time in other resorts on the strip. * There is Sun Palace.. and Cancun Palace ( which is usually crowded) and moon palace.*

Since you are thinking 10 days i say try moon palace for 5 days... their beach isnt the best if your beach goers...  but they have tons of restaurants , the biggest pools, a dance club, a casino inside... and entertainment every night on each side of the resort so you can pick what you want to see. It is a family resort but is soo big it is never crowded feeling. I would suggest putting in for the Sunrise side.. there is two sides of the resort... NIzuc and Sunrise....

For your next 5 days you can go to the strip.. at Sun palace... it is smaller., but nothing less than PERFECTTTTT. and the beach is CRAZY BEAUTIFUL white sand and clear blue water... plus not crowded, the best thing about here is the infiniti pool.. and that the resort is for couples only 25 and oler.. soo no kids around at all!! This one is located on the strip too just incase you want to go to the shopping areas or night clubs on the strip.... to take a night away from the resort

Palace resorts also owns "wet n wild" a water park in mexico.. you get to go there for free.. spend a day there and you can book to swim with the dolphins or sealions. my bf and I did the sealions and it was like 50 bux each and a great memory.. soo cute... and afterwards just float around the lazy river... a bus picks you up and brings you back to your resort soo money for cabs is not needed.

Cancun is an amazing place to honeymoon you get soo much for soo little money... go througha  travel agent

and check out their site http://www.palaceresorts.com/

i hope this helps you have some kinds of idea.. also snorkeling is included with this vaca... and they offer other things like ATv- ing.. the dolphin swimming etc.. just ask your agent.. its a great time.. im going back in the last week in MAy i cant wait..

    again- CONGRATS and have fun!!

  2. I have been in Cancun and Playa del Carmen, Both places are beautiful but it depends on what you like. Cancun has a lot of hotels and resorts and most of them are very luxurious. Playa del Carmen is a small town, very nice and cozy. It has very cute streets that are filled with hotels, stores and restaurants (food is really good). Cozumel Island is very close and you can go snorkeling or diving on the coral reefs. On the other hand, Cancun beaches are amazingly beautiful. If you just want to relax, that's your place. Also, Chichen Itza (Mayan ruins) are just 2 hours away, that is a must!  In both places there is a lot if night life. Although Playa is less luxurious it is a little more expensive than Cancun. I would recommend you visit both, they are just 45 minutes away, you can take a very cheap bus to come and go, and ask around for fun things to do.  Ten days are just fine to do a lot of fun stuff. You should look for hotels on Internet, there are so many, that you can find something that fits your expectations and it is usually cheaper if you make your reservations this way. I hope this helps you decide.
