My fiance and I met in local theatre?

I auditioned for the part of Christine in Phantom of the Opera, didn't get it. A few months later though, they were holding auditions for The Masque of of the Red Death. I got the part and was glad the man I auditioned along side for Phantom was to be Prospero. He said he was glad to see me again as well.

So that's how we got together. We would like ideas of how we could incorporate that into our wedding. Does anyone have any ideas?

  1. See if you can have your wedding at a locol theater!

You can have people dress up like the parts you guys played in the movie!

Have some actors and actresses come and re do the same theme!

    Put on a show!

You can do a all red and black them! You grooms men can wear mask on their faces!

  2. My fiance and I are having the ceremony on the stage of the theater she has been doing shows with since she was a little girl. We are using a lot of musical songs for the ceremony and having tickets printed for the invitations. We will also have programs made for the ceremony just like a show has. Having the ceremony in a auditorium also helps if one side of the family is larger than the other because there is not a center isle; hence people intermingle before the ceremony. Hope this helps. Good Luck

  3. Maybe have kind of themes of a theater around since the two of you enjoy it..you could play some of the music. That is so sweet how the two of you met, i met my fiance through my brother, not that romantic...hahaha its ookay though...good luck

  4. For favors, you could make masks to fit your color scheme!

Is there any way to have a ceremony/reception there?

Maybe use the play's "slang" to incorporate into your vows...that would be cute :)

  5. you could make this as big or as little as you wanted in your wedding and reception.

you could include lines from either play in your vows...if there's anything appropriate.

you could do your programs like playbills and tell the story in them.

someone else mentioned favors...anything from the obvious to the freaky.

you could name your tables after characters from either play.

you could make your first dance a song from Phantom of the Opera.

Heck, you could theme the whole reception in either play and it could be really nice.

    Good luck, and congrats!

  6. Get married in costume? Maybe even at the theatre?
