Would it be appropriate to put this on our wedding registry? What are your thoughts? What kind of out of the ordinary things did you put on your registry?

  1. Dont put the game, put a PS3 with Guitar Hero 3 on it. Thats more of a wedding gift then an $80 game!

  2. No. RockBand is a much better game tho the ps2 verison is stripped of some of the best features it is still a better game. and i think its perfectly fine to ask for it it might spice things up and give someone reading it a gigle

  3. Yep put it on the registry! It's for the bride and groom to have fun with, so why not?! There are mortgage registries now, so why not ask for something fun?!

I registered for a lot of household items- but we have owned our house for a few years so we didn't need too much stuff. Just upgrading what we DO have. I also registered for some stuff for the kids rooms- blinds, bedding, stuff like that. Some people I am sure will be bent out of shape about it- btu then they just won't get that stuff. No big deal. Register for things you will use as a newlywed couple, and if that includes a game, go for it. I registered for a Wii Fit, too... lol I guess we'll see!!

  4. ask for a 360 while your at it and guitar hero 4

    that's what i'd do lol

i don't think your friends would mind

  5. I registered for Guitar Hero: Aerosmith on my Target.com registery. I also registered for Wii Fitness.

  6. No.

While a shower is meant to shower you with gifts as you embark on your new life together...it isn't meant to get you the video games and other things that are not necessary.

Just buy it with any money you receive.

  7. My cousin did, they registered at Target and asked for all kinds of stuff. You never know, you may have friends that would love to get something fun like that for you.

When I got married, we didn't register anywhere because all of our family was from a small town and we got mostly money.

  8. no definately not.  the registry is for things to set you up for married life... if you already have everything and are living together than just don't register.... but asking for toys adn extras is rude... it's not christmas.  it's a wedding.  gifts should be for marriage adn living together... ask for it for christmas.

  9. I dont think its appropriate and I would be offended as a guest to see it on there. (and no I'm not old fashion...I'm only 23)  a wedding gift is meant to help out the couple with things they need.  my husband and i were already living together when we married so we didnt have a registry.  asking for something like that is down right tacky.  its a video game and those are something that should be bought yourself or as a birthday gift or something...not a wedding gift.

  10. You don't have to put it on the redistry to get it. Say you redister at Target, alot of your will guest will be giving you gift card from the store you redister at and then you can use the gift cards to buy it with out anybody knowing.

  11. Sure it's appropriate.... it's something that you and your future husband can do together. I actually think that if you were a close friend of mine I would love to buy it for you guys, and be happy to see it on your registry. I understand that the purpose of a registry is to help couple's get things that they need for their new "home" together, but most couples in today's world already live together, or at least they have lived on their own. This makes gifts like toasters, coffee makers, etc. not all that useful since the couple probably already has one.

  12. I personally would not find it inappropriate and nor would a lot of other people, but there are those few who would.  It is something you would use for your home and something for entertainment in your home.  I think it would be okay.  However if you are really doubting it, then use some of the money you get from family & friends for your wedding gifts to buy one.  Usually people give gift cards and money too when they don't have time to shop or don't know what to get a person.  So there is an idea too.

  13. I don't think it is appropriate.

  14. Guitar Hero is on sale for $65.99 on ebay.  Buy it yourself.

  15. How many blenders and toasters can you really use? Just go ahead and put it on there. :) It's your wedding, and...the family that guitar heros together stays together.

  16. Well its generally for things you need for your house together.  But the way I see it is it enver hurts to ask, but theres no guarntee he will get it!

  17. How funny, we want one too!! :)

But i don't think i would actually put it on my registry, i would maybe split the cost & buy it for yourselves, or even do it for Christmas!!

  18. tottally do it

  19. Well, we have a donut maker, ice cream maker, hotdog roller, and a popcorn popper on ours. If it's the kind of people you are and something like that would be expected on your registry the go ahead! Put whatever you want, it's your registry!

  20. listen.  I doesnt matter what is "ordinary" or appropriate.  This is YOUR wedding.  If you two are happy and want it then why does it matter what other people think.  It is actually kind of cute.  It is unique, and you know that is a rare quality to find.  I think its nice that you two share this.  be yourself.  You'll only get this experience once.

  21. Technically, the registry is supposed to be for people to help you set up your house.  You have two choices, put it on your registry (I don't think most people would be offended) or use some of the cash that you get to buy it.
