    good luck

  2. no, there is no way to speed it up, the process is getting longer nowadays,

if your fiance has filed for you? do you not know what documents you need ?

more than likely they will ask you for proof of your relationship, photos ; letters with date on them;questions about family(his) others important factors,

you will need to provide a police records

birth certificate, anything that has to do with you,

    pictures,

go to this page, you will find all you need to know it is too long to add here.

  3. The fiancee visa process application is getting longer and longer. When the k-1 visa application has been approved you should be notified and they should inform you of the documents you will need. You will need a long list of documents and it will take you awhile to get all the documents together. Your fiancee should also know what you will need also. I would suggest hiring an immigration attorney. They know everything and they make life a lot more easier than you would think.  There is a great immigration attorney in La Jolla California who specializes in k-1 visas and lots of other immigration applications. Go to www.holmesandlolly.com and on that page there is a number that your fiancee can call and they can assist you. They are the best, but also they are not cheap either. Probably looking at a fee of somewhere around $2200. But trust me you get what you pay for and these people are outstanding.

  4. An attorney helps, simply because there is more chance of the paerwork being done right the first time.  You do not say what stage you are at or what country you are immigrating from.  Has the petition just been filed?  If so, you need to find out what inoculations are required and where you need to get your police report from.  Do not apply for the police report too early in the process.  If it is too old (six months when I immigrated) they will ask you to get it again.

In short, you must deal with paperwork in a timely manner.  That is as much as you can do to speed things along.
