My fiance has a low sperm count, but I'm pregnant. So will the baby be okay?

My fiance works at a factory around lead. He is 42 and has 2 children by another women. According to his doctor his sperm count was at zero 10 years ago but I am pregnant. His doctor said there is no way I could be pregnant... but I am so what does that mean. Is there a chance the baby won't be okay?

my husband had a low count 2 years later it went up 2 million... it only takes one

That only means it was harder for you to get pg... it doesn't mean they are deformed or anything, just meant none or not a lot of them....

Are you sure you are pregnant?

Ask him to get another Dr's opinion.

It means that doctors are idiots. All it takes is one sperm to make a baby. Id count my blessings, that sounds like a miracle to me.

Wow, it sounds to me like you have created a miracle! It only takes one sperm to create a baby and maybe that's all he had left in him, but that baby really wanted to come into this world. I'm not a doctor, but most likely your baby has the same chance of surviving as any other baby. His sperm count does not matter now, it's already done it's job. Congratulations, and all the best!

Yep if it's his baby there will be nothing wrong with it as far as a low sperm count is concerned....... It only takes 1 lil soldier to fertilize an egg..... but if the Dr. said it's noway you could be pregnant then are u sure it's his??????(not trying to be mean) but I never listen to the Dr. seems to me they are wrong 50% of the time
