I am reluctant,

We live in different area codes want to keep my same area code.

I don't want her to have access to my ringtones , wall paper etc.

I am not sure we would save much of anything.

What do you think?

  1. First, find out how much you will save. You might save by sharing a certain amount of minutes, which is what my hubby and I did just before our wedding.

Second, depending on your plan, you might not have to change your number. My hubby and I have Verizon and didn't have to change our numbers at all when we moved my number onto his account and change the minutes allowance.

It did save us some money, especially when we started looking at how many minutes we really do use. I was able to keep us down to like 600 minutes, which is their lowest plan. When before we both had an allowance of 600 minutes which was way too much. Good luck! Just make the best decision for your money.

  2. I would talk to verizon - it is likely that you can both keep your existing phone numbers even in different area codes. Also, she wont be able to see your ringtones and wallpaper and stuff. That is all saved on your phone.

I say go ahead and merge. You definitely save some money by having more phones on the same plan, and likely it wont change a single thing with your service.

She is your fiancee' I mean if you can't share a cell plan how are you gonna live together forever?
